When Katie & Chris first commissioned me to shoot their beautiful wedding ,the prospect of a ceremony in a woodland clearing in the Leicestershire countryside sent my creative juices into overdrive. This was a truly blank canvas experience with no pre conceived ideas or expectations.
Katie & Chris being the owners of The Olive Pot catering company were no strangers to the pressures of creating wonderful food on location with limited resources and after telling me of all of their plans for the decoration of their marquee venue I knew I was in for a visual feast!
Opting for an English summer picnic theme with a festival twist, with hay bales for guest seating and beautiful hand crafted signs, vibrant festival colours ,all that we needed was mother nature to be kind with the weather, and she was.
There was great cloud formations and sunshine painting the backdrop for their classic wedding car ,my ultimate favourite , a Morris 1000 convertible! Something I have always wanted since driving my fathers Morris Traveller. The car was named Gladys and she proved a valuable prop completing the beautiful picture.
Katie & Chris are a great couple to work with ,so happy and the shots and their laughter just flowed.
A huge thank you to you both you looked amazing ,big hugs and wishing you all the happiness in the world.xx
